Jacob Pereira is recognized as a Class of 2023 Senior in the Spotlight.
Pereira is a senior in the Plumbing vocational program. His favorite experience in the vocational program was working for Superior Plumbing Inc. in Millis during the summer of his Junior year. Pereira appreciated gaining real-world plumbing experience during his high school years and being trusted to do actual plumbing work in a professional setting.
While at Southeastern, Pereira was a member of the football and wrestling teams and an active volunteer at Crosspointe Church.
Following graduation, he plans to work full-time for Superior Plumbing Inc., while continuing to run his own window and siding cleaning business called Improve the View.
His advice to freshmen is: “Get your driver’s license as soon as you can and get out on co-op. Even if you don’t stay with your vocation after Southeastern, the real-world experience and making money while you are a high school student is priceless.”
Southeastern’s Senior Spotlight honorees are chosen based on their high academic and vocational achievement. Seniors are selected from each of the nine towns Southeastern serves and are highlighted prior to graduation, which will be held this year on June 7.
