Hispanic Heritage Month Announcement #6

Today we celebrate an American labor leader and civil rights activist, Cesar Chavez. Chavez famously organized and led what is considered the most successful boycott in U.S. history–over 17 million Americans participated in the Delano grape strike and boycott, leading to an agreement guaranteeing field workers’ right to unionize, better working conditions, and access to health care and pensions.
