Morning Announcements 5/20/19

Class officer candidates for the class of 2020:

Your completed election packets are due by the end of the school day TODAY. They can be handed into Mrs. Miller in room 3-322 or placed in her mailbox.

 

Your speeches are due by Thursday this week. They need to be edited to check for mistakes and emailed to Mrs. Miller AND Mrs. Sousa.

 

Southeastern Boys Lacrosse vs. Stoughton High School

Southeastern- 11
Stoughton- 6

Southeastern defeated Stoughton High 11-6. Scoring was led by Max Gonsalves (4 goals) and Sean Brennan (3 goals, 4 assists). Dan Munro, Ryan Kinney, and Jake Scolaro also contributed to the scoring all with at least a goal and an assist.  Defense was led by Balise Germano, Will Purdue, and Dave Larkin. Goalie Ryan Parks played well with 9 saves.

Southeastern Boys Lacrosse now moves to 12-3 on the season.

 

The Lady Hawks clinched a tournament birth Friday with a win over Holbrook.  Maddie Hornung pitched 7 scoreless innings, striking out 12 in the win.  Congratulations Ladies.

 

The Hawks Varsity Baseball team defeated Avon twice in their double header on Saturday.

In game one, the Hawks won, 15-0 in five innings.  Leading the offense were Donald Gagnon (gram slam, five RBI), Teigan Mitchell (three hits, four runs scored), Griffen Bethune (two hits) and Brady Ulatowski (two hits).  John Zenus pitched four innings, allowing only two hits.  Kyle Cumming closed out the game in the fifth.

 

In the second game, Southeastern won, 16-3.  Dylan Loring (three hits, two RBI), Kyle Major (two hits) paced the offense.  Teigan Mitchell, Josh Zenus, and Dylan Loring had strong pitching performances.

 

The Haws Baseball team is now 8-5 and only two wins away from qualifying for the state tournament.
